Le Petit Pont Reserve Blanc 2017 (France), $10.79/bottle by the case (Reg. $11.99) 50% Vermentino, 40% Colombard, 10% Chardonnay. Tropical fruit flavors enhance this crisp, refreshing and fragrant dry blend. Pairs well with spicy dishes, fresh greens, seafood, and friends!
Veglio Roero Arneis 2016 (Italy), $10.79/bottle by the case (Reg. $11.99) Arneis is a varietal primarily grown in the Roero Hills of Italy’s southern Piedmont and has a reputation for producing excellent wines. Pale, straw yellow color with fresh floral, citrus and melon aromas with hints of almond. An unoaked, dry, medium bodied white wine with crisp acidity. Well-balanced with good complexity and a lingering finish.
Poggio Alle Sughere Morellino di Scansano 2015 (Italy), $16.19/bottle by the case (Reg. $17.99) 90% Sangiovese, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Harmonious and elegant amid persistent aromas, with hints of violet, raspberry and pomegranate. The wine is aged for eight months in small oak barrels and another four months in bottle. Pairs well with cold cuts, pasta and rice dishes, grilled beef, cheese.
Veglio Barbaresco 2013 (Italy), $22.49/bottle by the case (Reg. $24.99) 100% Nebbiolo – The color is red with orange reflections and an intense, fruity and spicy nose. Dry, full-bodied and balanced. Pairs well with red meat, game and cheeses.
Sangue di Giuda Dell’Oltrepo Pavese Sweet Red (Italy), $8.99/bottle by the case (Reg. $9.99) When Barbera, Croatina, and Uva Rara are mixed together, it makes sweet “Blood of Judas. One of many interesting legends about this sweet red, Frizzante wine concludes the monks of Lombardy grew tired of the “fruit” of their hard labor mysteriously disappearing and marked the barrels with the terrifying phrase “Sangue di Giuda” to inhibit those who dared to steal it.
