Ch Vignol White Bordeaux 2017 (France), $11.69/bottle by the case (Reg. $12.99) 75% Sauvignon Blanc, 20% Sémillon, 5% Muscadelle – Quite aromatic, it offers up loads of grapefruit, lemon rind and fresh spring flowers. The Muscadelle adds weight and texture to the crsip, aromatic Sauvignon Blanc. It is crisp and fresh, but really shines with food, especially goat cheese or fresh shellfish.
Bugalugs Barossa Grenache 2018 (Australia), $21.59/bottle by the case (Reg. $23.99) Juicy red berry fruits, licks of blueberries and ribbons of fine spice. It’s dripping in pleasure and screams for big pours. Created by renowned winemaker Tim Smith, it has established itself as one of Australia’s best examples of Grenache and delivers a delicious, approachable example of Barossa Grenache with plenty of weight and flavor.
Benvenuto De La Serna Malbec 2014 (Argentina), $17.99/bottle by the case (Reg. $19.99) Aromas of black raspberries with hints of graphite. Layers of rich cassis, black currant and blackberries are interwoven with hints of anise and black pepper. Its lengthy finish is marked by wonderful minerality, finely grained tannins and lively acidity. Pair with braised duck with apples, or Grilled beef filet.
Cantina Gabriele Vino Sweet White (Italy), $10.79/bottle by the case (Reg. $11.99) 70% Trebbiano, 30% Malvasia – Deep straw-yellow color and fruity, with prominent hints of tropical fruit in particular, with nuances of apricot and sage. Goes well with sweet appetizers and should be enjoyed chilled.
Innis & Gunn Bourbon Barrel Porter (Scotland), $2.79/bottle by the case (Reg. $3.10) The best of the bourbon world is represented in this Porter using Kentucky and Tennessee bourbon barrels combined with Scottish know-how in this craft beer. Dark and delicious, exhibiting complexity and depth with flavors of chocolate, vanilla, and orange.
